Kang Lab

Research at the Kang Lab focuses on the best use of diagnostic information in clinical decision making, aiming to improve health outcomes through personalized risk assessment and intervention. We are a multidisciplinaryteam that uses mathematical modeling to evaluate problems on multiple scales – at the level of the individual, subgroups of similar individuals, and populations.  For this work, we build models for cancer simulation, economic evaluation, health technology assessment, and implementation science to improve cancer detection and care delivery. We also apply predictive analytics and design of digital tools for improved medical decision making.
