Research Services
Columbia Radiology partners with every department at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) to help manage studies that involve imaging. Our department provides a range of services, including research imaging at two state-of-the-art core facilities, the MRI Center at the Neurological Institute and the Columbia University PET Center.
Radiology Cost Estimate Request
We provide cost estimates for imaging at both CUIMC and NYP facilities and all other radiology services. Please request a cost estimate as early as possible in the planning phase of your study, and prior to IRB approval, using our online form. Visit our Cost Estimate Process page for more information.
Radiology Research Services
Research Imaging
We provide research scans at our two imaging facilities, the MRI Center at the Neurological Institute and the Columbia University PET Center. Learn more about MRI and PET Center services and processes by visiting their webpages.
Research scans are scheduled through iLab. Please note that the PI must have a lab set up in iLab and requestor must be added to the lab. Learn more about setting up a lab in iLab.
Image De-identification
We provide image de-identification for all research studies that involve imaging performed at CUIMC or NYP locations.
To request image de-identification, submit the cost estimate request form and make the appropriate selection on the form.
Miscellaneous Image Review
Miscellaneous image reviews are:
- specialized image reads
- non-diagnostic image reads
To request a miscellaneous image review, submit the Miscellaneous Image Review Request form.
Note: this form is NOT for safety reads and RECIST or CHESSON reads. Contact us for further information about these reads.
Departmental Collaborations
To request a collaboration with the Department of Radiology to assist with part of a study, please submit the Radiology Collaboration Request form.
