James So, MS

  • Associate in Clinical Radiology
Profile Headshot

Overview

James So is a medical physicist in the Department of Radiology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He received his Masters degree in medical physics from Columbia University and his Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

His area of professional interest is in new imaging technology: translating new technology to radiographic equipment manufacturing and applying new skills, techniques, and test protocols to verify the outcome. He was the lead investigator for Columbia University Science and Technology Ventures (STV) in 2007, where he developed a Motion Cardiac Phantom for Image Quality Assessment (patent pending).
