Gagandeep Singh Receives ASNR Early Career Neuroradiology Leadership Development Scholarship
Gagandeep Singh, MD, assistant professor of radiology at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, has been awarded the 2026 Early Career Neuroradiology Leadership Development Scholarship from the American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR). The competitive national scholarship recognizes early-career neuroradiologists who demonstrate outstanding leadership potential and supports their participation in the American College of Radiology (ACR) Radiology Leadership Institute Summit, a premier leadership development program for radiologists.
Singh’s contributions to neuro-oncologic imaging and artificial intelligence have established him as an emerging leader in neuroradiology. His nationally recognized research program focuses on developing clinically deployable AI tools to improve the diagnosis, prognostication, and treatment assessment of patients with brain tumors. His work brings together experts in radiology, oncology, biomedical informatics, and data science to translate advanced imaging technologies into innovations that improve patient care.
Singh currently serves on multiple ASNR committees, participates in the year-long ASNR Leadership Development Program, and is actively involved in educational initiatives at Columbia, where he has served as associate program director for the Neuroradiology Fellowship.
“We are excited to see Dr. Singh recognized with this well-deserved honor,” said Hediyeh Baradaran, MD, MS, professor of radiology and chief of the Division of Neuroradiology. “His ability to build collaborations across disciplines and engage colleagues around a shared vision make him a highly effective leader in academic medicine. His participation in the RLI Summit will benefit both Columbia and the broader neuroradiology community.”
The ASNR scholarship supports attendance at the Radiology Leadership Institute Summit, where participants develop expertise in leadership, strategic planning, advocacy, and organizational management while building a national network of future leaders in radiology. Singh plans to apply the knowledge and experience gained through the program to further advance innovation, mentorship, and collaboration within Columbia Radiology and the broader neuroradiology community.
The Department of Radiology congratulates Dr. Singh on this well-deserved national recognition.
